QA - Supplier 3
Overview
This position will serve as an International Supplier Quality Engineer for primary assigned supplier in Japan.
Responsibilities
The individual will be responsible for:
Validating Material Review Board (MRB) tag integrity and metric reporting. Lead corrective action investigations for causes of MRB defects. Utilize collective analysis tools for evaluating defect trends. Lead the Program Team to implement process improvements that prevent defect recurrence. Supporting Customer monthly/weekly performance/program reviews and associated actions. Reviewing internal and supplier First Article Inspections (FAI's) per internal, SQAR (Supplier Quality Assurance Requirements) and AS9102 requirements. Utilizing Vought Operating Systems/Management Operating Systems (VOS/MOS) tools to drive continuous improvements. Performing audits of subtier supplier quality systems. Support suppliers in quality performance issues. Chairing the Corrective Action Board meeting and supporting quality system reviews. Utilizing inspection tools and media to validate compliance with engineering requirements Participate in Quarterly Reviews & present quality performance status to Executive Management and/or Customers. Travel (domestic/international) to Supplier locations to support corrective actions, process investigations & perform quality surveys.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following minimum
Qualifications:
BS/BA degree with a minimum of 6 years related experience preferably in the aerospace industry. Must have experience with AS9100 and AS9102 quality systems/requirements. Participate in Quarterly Reviews & present quality performance status to Executive Management and/or Customers. Willingness to travel (domestic/international) to Supplier locations to support corrective actions, process investigations & perform quality surveys. AS9100 Rev C Lead Assessor certification preferred. Two (2) years minimum experience interrogating digital models in a CATIA environment desired Green Belt or Black Belt, CQE or CMQOE certification. Demonstrated quality science expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Statistical analysis, statistical process control, sampling, six sigma, FAI, PPAP, PFMEA, Red X, process auditing or validation, root cause analysis and corrective action validations, and supplier quality management.
