Assistant After School Care Supervisor

Job Title: Assistant After School Care Coordinator Wage/Hour Status: Nonexempt

Reports to: Coordinator of After School Programs Wage/ Hour Status: CP 3
Dept: Assigned ROISD Campus Revised: 11/2018 Primary Purpose: Facilitate the efficient operations of the assigned day care administrative office. Qualifications: Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Child Development Associate certificate preferred
Must be able to meet Texas Dept. of Family & Protective Services (CPS) Director qualifications
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Proficient skills in typing, word processing, and file maintenance
Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Patient and calm demeanor with students and others
Experience:
One to three years of clerical experience preferably in a day care or public education environment Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Greet and assist parents, teachers, and students and direct them to appropriate personnel.
Maintain accurate administrative records and prepare required reports including CCMS and other related programs.
Perform general clerical duties for assigned Day Care.
Enroll children into the center and provide parent orientation.
Supervise the formation of lesson plans to ensure and effective classroom environment and developmentally appropriate curriculum.
Supervise curriculum and environment to ensure that program activities are developmentally appropriate, including working with staff to plan, implement, and evaluate the curriculum on a systematic basis
Accurately maintain and update files, manuals, handbooks, and logs as assigned.
Help Interview and recommend all new staff and approve all campus personnel assigned
Maintain a positive and effective relationship with supervisors, co-workers, students, district administrators and community, addressing problems or concerns in a prompt and courteous manner
Communicate effectively with all levels of district employees, outside agencies, and the general public.
Assist in planning and conducting department trainings
Assist in ordering, storing, and distributing supplies and equipment and the management of fixed assets of the campus/ department.
Assist in the preparation and documentation of ceremonies and emergency drills as needed.
Schedule meetings and appointments and maintain calendar of events.
Monitor personnel time records and other campus and department records.
Maintain and balance tuition ledgers.
Maintain an accurate knowledge base and comply with state, district, and school policies and regulations concerning primary job functions.
Coordinate events with the campus principal.
Present to parents/ public a professional appearance and demeanor.
Work well with people/ children of diverse backgrounds.
Other duties as assigned.

Provide professional communication with students, parents, community members, staff, and other professionals at all times.
Use proper phone etiquette at all times, speaking slowly and clearly. Take reliable messages, and route to the appropriate staff.
Ensure superior customer care skills are used via eye contact, facial expressions, voice inflections, body language, and an attitude of "going the extra mile" for others.
Ensure all requests for information are dealt with in an appropriate timeframe.
Create and maintain a welcoming, service-oriented environment toward all internal and external customers.

Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer; frequent interruptions; moderate standing, stooping, bending, and lifting; ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
